Originally from South Wales, I moved to Bristol to study Fashion where I gained a BA Hons. I lived there for 18 years and ran a small children's wear business selling to small boutique shops around the country. I moved moved to London with my husband stayed there for 8 years.
Always wanting to live on the coast, St Ives is for me is the ideal place and the family moved here in 2003 to run a local restaurant. I now live on a smallholding just outside the town trying to live a little of the good life, weather permitting!
I began painting again in 2008 after not doing very much since student days. I joined Ultramarine studio and became excited by landscape work having previously painted only still life and portraits. I am a member of St Ives Art's Club and have exhibited and sold work from there and other shows locally.
I am inspired by boats, water and of course the moody West Penwith landscape in all it's fabulous glory. The sea is a huge draw and influence in my work along with all kinds of boats and how their shapes play on the water. I work mainly in oils using a palette knife, the larger the canvas the better.
I am happy to meet with potential customers and willing to take commissions
